MacDonald appointed to head ETS

Walt MacDonald, executive vice president and chief operating officer of the Educational Testing Service (ETS), was named president and CEO of the organization, ETS said in a statement.
He will succeed Kurt Landgraf on Jan. 1, 2014.

Students applying for nonscheduled admission at Seoul National University (SNU) won’t need official certificate English scores such as TOEIC, TEPS, and TOEFL, according to a posting on SNU’s homepage.
SNU will disregard these scores in evaluating applicants, according to their admission office website April 4.
Actually, SNU said that it had been ignoring those scores since last year, but many students unaware of this submitted the scores anyway.
