Microphone Check Issue

Microphone Check Issue

After clicking on the Allow button for the microphone check, nothing happens. The window just freezes. I've already used this mic for an ETS practice test and for recordings in voxopop. I don't know why my microphone check isn't successful in this site. Used firefox and IE latest versions.

TOEFL speaking microphone check issue

Dear amalynatago,
For sure the issue is not related to a problem within our site. We have vast number of students taking our tests, both free and full version and that is the first issue we were told of. I will recommend to change the microphone and see whether the problem persists. If it does, please let us know and we'll undertake investigation on the matter.

Microphone is unable to capture my response

Hi,

I have enrolled for TOEFL complete preparation course and while taking the pre-assessment test I couldnt record my response on speaking section. I checked if my system is working correctly and there were no issues at all. Please help me out with some solution to this.

Microphone issue in pre-TOEFL test

Dear abhishekshakwala,
The very first think you should do is to change the browser you are using to taking the test. If you tried to take the TOEFL course with let's say Internet Explorer, please try taking it with Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox. Since our aim is to make the interface very close to what the real TOEFL interface is, all our TOEFL products are Internet based (you need a browser to take). However, that is a bit tricky because the settings of different browsers may vary pretty much depending on the browser itself and also because of the user. So, changing the browser is the first thing you should do. Later on, you can test it with our SYSTEM CHECK. You can find it on the very first line of any product page.
